One of the most anticipated times of the year settles in when the autumn temperatures start to cool; the leaves begin to turn dazzling shades of orange, red, and gold; and local celebrations of the Fall season pop-up in rural communities around the Midwest. Harvest Festivals date all the way back to 1843, when the reverend Robert Stephen Hawker invited his parishioners to a special harvest thanksgiving service on October 1^st at his church in Morwenstow, Cornwall, England. Hawker wanted to give thanks to God for providing a plentiful harvest and here at New Hope Baptist, we too want to give thanks and celebrate God’s blessings upon our church and our community. As part of that desire, we are hosting one of the BEST harvest festivals in the Ozarks and we want to invite all of our friends and neighbors here in southern/central Missouri and around the country to join us for a tremendous day of family-friendly fun, fantastic food,  and great entertainment!

The 1^st Annual HarFEST was held on Saturday, October 9^th, 2021  and featured 15 acres of the Ozarks’ finest artisans, crafters, and woodworkers with their goods; great music throughout the day including one of Silver Dollar City's featured groups and the Ozarks' very own Lindley Creek. There was some of the most delicious food around; an antique tractor and classic car show; bounce houses and face painting for the kids; a Punkin’ Chuckin’ demonstration; and even an old-fashioned pie auction! Our special Salute to Our Troops ceremony was a incredible opportunity to pay tribute to our verterans  and active duty military personnel. We had special music and activities designed specifically for all of our wonderful military men and women who deserve our utmost appreciation for the sacrifices they have made and continue to make which give us the freedoms we enjoy. There is never an admission fee for Har-FEST and raffle prizes were given away to those who stopped by to see our vendors. Make plans now for next fall to load up the entire family and come out on Saturday, October 14^th, 2023 for the 3^rd Annual HarFEST and enjoy some one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted goods; eat a pulled-pork sandwich and a funnel cake; listen to some great music, check out the line-up of classic American iron from the field and the dragstrip; and enjoy a great day in the Ozarks!
