Lennon became Lead Pastor of New Hope Baptist Church on August 17, 2025, after faithfully serving as Associate Pastor since 2022. He is a graduate of Mission University in Springfield, Missouri, where he studied Pastoral Ministry with a minor in Missions.

Lennon is known for his clear, practical teaching style and his passion for helping people see how God’s Word speaks directly into everyday life. His heart is to preach Scripture faithfully while equipping believers to live it out with conviction and confidence.

He and his wife, Emilee, serve the church family together with joy and gratitude.

Matt and his wife Amy have been serving in the Youth Ministry of New Hope Baptist Church since 2008.

The attributes that best describe Matt as a youth minister are impactful teaching, leadership development and relationship building. He has demonstrated a burning desire to be a servant here at New Hope Baptist Church and help our youth find a deep, meaningful relationship with God and connect with other teens and pre-teens in the body of Christ. 

In addition to ministering to the youth alongside Matt, Amy faithfully serves in our worship ministry and works tirelessly to provide leadership and direction while helping to guide our congregation in Biblically based music and singing.

Matt and Amy have been happily married since 2004 and have three daughters: Hailey, Brinley, and Summer Ann!
